Oolite Arts Miami Beach latest art exhibit Common Space features Pedro Vizcaino and Ernesto Oroza. The artists in the show are from New York, Miami and Chicago. They all reenvision social hierarchical spaces within the realm of art. Meaning, identity and power all become themes at the forefront. Their colorless work of art displays the chains and mechanisms of labor. Automobile parts strike audiences. They are a reference to the transportation issues in their home country of Cuba.
The exhibit features Pedro Vizcaino who was born in Havana in 1966. He was part of the fresh, hip group Arte Calle “Street Art” group between 1985 and 1987.
There is an exhibition catalog at the website for Common Space.
Exhibit is open October 20, 2021 to January 23, 2022.
