Monumental Moments – The Hug, another monumental work by Cuban born Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada. This 10-foot-tall bronze sculpture was unveiled at New York City’s Lincoln Center. The sculpture immortalizes and celebrates the human spirit and the resilience of all those who have been impacted by the social distancing and challenges associated with the pandemic.
Unveiled ahead of World Mental Health Day, this work recognises the importance of connecting, support and touch, as so many have longed to embrace their loved ones during these times.
